JOB TITLE: Development Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Chief Advancement Officer
STATUS: Part-time

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Development Coordinator supports high-quality management of donor relationships through administrative responsibilities that underpin Broad Street Love’s cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gift Records Management and Financial Reconciliation
- Ensure timely gift processing and acknowledgments on a weekly basis.
- Conduct monthly gift reconciliation review with Finance.
- Monitor and maintain corporate giving and matching gift program portals.
- Produce and circulate weekly gift validation and summary reports.
Weekly Stewardship Activities
- Run, edit, and finalize weekly acknowledgement letters.
- Support Chief Advancement Officer, Chief Executive Officer, and other gift officers with administrative support to facilitate high-touch stewardship plans.
Constituent Records Management
- Oversee integrity in constituent record hygiene, including name and addressee formatting, address information, constituent code accuracy, contact/ solicitations permissions, and primary contacts for organizations.
- Oversee transfer of records between Raiser’s Edge, VolunteerHub, and MailChimp platforms for proper facilitation of external communications and list segmentation.
- Oversee regular duplicate record merge processes.
Pipeline and Research Support
- Write queries to pull contact and research lists.
- Conduct one-off prospect screenings in ResearchPoint and sync to Raiser’s Edge.
- Support gift officers in conducting research on individual, foundation, and corporate prospects or giving opportunities.
Additional Departmental Support
As is beneficial to the department and befitting of the skills of the individual, provide support in any number of areas of fundraising, which could include (for example):
- Acknowledgement and other correspondence writing
- Grant report development
- Basic stewardship or discovery workflow design
- Project support for events, including annual gala
- Management of in-kind donations
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- 1-2 years’ professional experience or comparable experience of education, internships, etc.
- Experience working with CRM software (preference to Raiser’s Edge/ NXT) desirable, or demonstrated proficiency with related technical systems.
- Knowledge of philanthropic giving mechanisms and records administration desirable, or demonstrated ability to grasp “wonky” administrative, business, or financial concepts.
- Highly organized, with attention to detail, administrative diligence, and conscientious work ethic.
