POSITION SUMMARY:
Broad Street Love is seeking an experienced, visionary Chief Program Officer (CPO) to lead the organization’s largest division and help shape the future of our mission.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CPO will provide strategic leadership for all program operations while building a culture grounded in Radical Hospitality, operational excellence, accountability, continuous improvement, and measurable impact.
This executive will lead multiple program areas, develop high-performing leaders, strengthen strategic partnerships, and ensure our services consistently deliver meaningful outcomes for the guests we serve.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Executive Leadership
- Lead and inspire a diverse team of directors, managers, and program staff.
- Translate organizational strategy into measurable operational priorities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning
- Partner with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to advance organizational goals.
Program Leadership
- Provide executive oversight for all program and guest service operations.
- Ensure programs deliver high-quality, guest-centered services rooted in Radical Hospitality.
- Continuously evaluate and improve service delivery through data, evidence, and community feedback.
- Strengthen coordination among internal programs and external service partners to create an integrated guest experience.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing leaders.
- Build leadership capacity through ongoing coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
- Create an environment where staff are empowered, supported, challenged, and held accountable to high standards.
Data, Performance & Accountability
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators across all program areas.
- Use data and outcomes to improve services, inform strategic decisions, and demonstrate organizational impact.
- Ensure accurate program reporting and effective use of Apricot and other data systems.
- Champion continuous quality improvement throughout the organization.
Financial Stewardship
- Develop and manage program budgets in partnership with the Finance Team.
- Monitor financial performance and resource utilization.
- Ensure responsible stewardship of organizational and grant-funded resources.
Partnerships & External Leadership
- Build and strengthen partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, government agencies, universities, and other stakeholders.
- Serve as a visible ambassador for Broad Street Love in the community.
- Participate in foundation meetings, donor stewardship activities, and community events alongside the CEO and Chief Development Officer.
- Partner with the Advancement Team to support grant reporting, funding accountability, and stewardship throughout the funding lifecycle.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Required
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Public Health, Human Services, Nonprofit Leadership, or a related field (or equivalent executive leadership experience).
- At least seven years of progressive leadership experience in human services, healthcare, behavioral health, homelessness, or a related field.
- At least five years leading multiple departments or complex program operations.

Compensation: $105,000, commensurate with experience.
